Colour of the year 2017

Pantone has announced its colour of the year for 2017 will be Greenery, Pantone 15-0343. The colour is described by Pantone as a “fresh, yellowish hue” that “symbolises the reawakening of nature in spring and is a symbol for a new beginning”.

Life without colour would be such a boring place. We’re surrounded by a rich palette, it’s in the buildings the trees the sky, our clothes... it's everywhere we look.

Although we do happen to know a couple of people who would prefer living in a grey monochrome universe, for the rest of us, a life without colour is simply unimaginable. This necessity for colour has an emotional impact on our everyday lives all without us even knowing it.

Taking inspiration from some of my favourite places on the West Coast of Scotland here a just a few of the colours that still amaze me.
